El Paso in Hickory

Been to two of the Hickory locations and one in Newton. The one on us hwy 70 SW served our food cold. This is caused by not having the proper quantity of wait staff. I spent 33.00 for dinnetr and will not go back to this location again. I guess you can mark this one up to the luck of the draw for wait staff and location. Cold food no matter what the cost is a big negative in my book.

This is my all time favorite restaurant. If you are in the area and don't know what to eat, just go here. Good prices, AMAZING FOOD, detailed menu, staff is super nice, the restaurant is really decorated beautifully... What's not to love? 11/10 wish I could eat here every day.

Salsa bar, lots of menu choices. Reasonable prices and you will have leftovers so I can usually eat off of my food twice. Delish.

Food wasn't amazing. Chicken tasted like canned. Husband's dish arrived almost 20 minutes later than mine. Both ordered taco salad.

The food was good with a good atmosphere. Good waitress and reasonable prices. Chicken and steak fajitas, cheese and chicken enchiladas and nacho supreme.

We had a great time today, 1-26-20. Tomorrow is my mom's Birthday and Tuesday is my sister's Birthday. The waitress was extremely nice and helpful. Food A+Service A+

Quick service and great food

Great food, great service. We come here fairly often. It's our preferred "mother-son date night" location.

I was traveling through the area and thought I would stop here for lunch. The restaurant appeared clean and well lit and the was ample seating, both indoors and out. The restaurant had a salsa bar and they serve a small bowl of refried beans with the chips. They also offer free queso with their chips Mon- Fri during lunch. The food was good, and the portions were quite large. The only flaw during my visit was what appeared to be some sort of cheese dip on the glass when the waiter brought a fresh glass of tea to our table. All in all, not a bad experience.

Great food! I've been eating here ever since they opened their doors. As with any restaurant, you will notice some variation depending on whose in the kitchen, but overall, it's absolutely my favorite!! I prefer this location to the others, and it's next to my office, Realty Executives!! Love the salsas!! Everything fresh, great waitstaff.

Servers over looked us time and time again. Finally got service, order was wrong. Big portions of edible food and that's all there is to it...

First time experience. Food was 5 star and service was 4 star very nice waiter just very forgetful but absolutely no complaints other than that looking fwd to the next visit

The food and service are excellent!

This is my favorite restaurant but here lately they have not been on their game. The food is still good but I always order a taco salad and the last two times I ordered it was not as great as I am use to it was to soupy and was running out the shell. Plus one of the times they got my order wrong and sent me out the wrong salad by the time I got a waiter my family had ate their food. It is or was a great place to eat they need to get back on the ball. Because I drive out of my way to go there to eat.

This is a toothpick that I found in my mouth. I wasn't using a toothpick while I was eating, it was in my food. When I told the waiter he took the plate and quickly brought me another one and didn't even apologize.

Great friendly place to eat. Fast service even if you call in to take home. I eat there one to two times a week.

Love the atmosphere of this restaurant. The wait staff are on the ball , they really do a great job. The food is authentic Mexican food , always have a fantastic meal here. I really enjoy the added salsa bar they have as well , a wide selection of different types of salsa weather you like it mild or spicy HOT! They also do great margaritas too.

Very good food pretty good service. They have a lot of items that are similar to other Mexican restaurants but take their own twist on things. Try the super quesadilla. If you ask for spicy sauce they actually have some.

We had a large family gathering with staggered arrival times, but the wait staff was very accommodating and fast. They handled us very well and the food was superb.

Staff is wonderful and food is beyond great....best dish I cannot stop eating is the steak ACP ❤️

Food was good. Act really good. Service just average... Had to wait forever after ordering drinks to get them and then to order food. Also refills were slow on Drinks. Still decent experience just need more patience there here lately...

This place is so wonderful the bright decorations are very lovely. The salsa bar is amazing and the portions are huge. Will definitely be back.

We ordered a taco salad with beef and a ACP no pineapple add chorizo to go order. Got it home and they gave me a chicken taco salad instead and NO chorizo on the ACP. Chips were stale tasting. And the chicken salad was nothing but WATER. Literally tasted like Soup. So GROSS!! I even called and the guy said no you did not order here, we have no order for that. I said I can glady bring u the receipt and show u, it has YOUR location on it! He said ok just come by and I can make u another one.... so disappointed by this location, we have had better service from them.

Huge portions, Huge Flavors! It's hard to convey how large the plate is. My wife said I needed something in the picture as a size reference - she suggested a sombrero! Inexpensive too - $8 entrees.

Food was great, it was fast and Stanley our server was outstanding. Will come again when we are driving through town.

Texas fajita was bland and the shrimp were tough and tasted old... It does have a nice salsa bar.

Had a huge turn out for our company's President farewell.Food and service was consistently good for a group our size, approximately 60 people.
